Our story

Follow your nose

In French, flair is not a word for style.
It is a word for the nose.

It is the perfumer who knows, before a single drop is blended, that something is right. It is the cook who lifts their head from the stove, catches a scent in the air, and knows the moment has come. Avoir du flair – to have a nose for it – means to sense what is good before it has been proven.

Coffee begins the same way. Before the first sip, there is the moment you lean in. The bag opens, the aroma rises, and you already know. Everything that follows is only confirmation.

Flair Beans is built around that moment. We look for coffees that are rare – unusual lots, expressive profiles, flavours that make you pause mid-breath – and we choose them the old way: by scent first, by instinct, by the nose. Then we send them to you in small quantities, with the roast date on the bag, so that the first thing you meet is the aroma at its very best.

The mark

Our mark tells it in a single line. One fine, unbroken line draws a nose in profile – no eyes, no face, nothing to distract. Across the open space, a ribbon of aroma drifts from one small bean towards it. That is the whole idea: a bean, a scent, a nose, and the quiet gap between them where the pleasure happens.

So when you open a bag of Flair Beans, do what the name asks of you.

Follow your nose.
